Duplicate files during copying
Sometimes you will see a program reporting duplicate files (that is two files with the same name in the same directory). Such a situation cannot occur during the normal filesystem operation and is usually a result of some corruption.
There are two widespread situations where filename conflicts arise:
1. Directory tree corruption may result in inexact reconstruction. This may cause some files to be placed improperly, thus resulting in filename conflict.
2. Erased files, when restored, may cause filename conflicts with the existing files in a directory.
To avoid the possibility of incomplete recovery, we suggest you use the option to add numbers to the conflicting file names, thus saving all possible data. Otherwise some important (or more current version of) file may be skipped during recovery.
